Hello, I own a split level home and have 2 roommates. We all 3 goto college and run on Comcast Cable internet (fastest in our area). Recently my laptop crashed and I built a new desktop, I would prefer to use ethernet cord for the desktop but am trying to figure out a clean and productive way to set up our internet. I do not know how things work with cable internet so feel free to explain your idea.
![]() House: Split Level The cable modem and router are both located in a upstair bedroom. I am trying to have "wired" internet downstairs. The wi-fi signal is not very strong downstairs. How can we have more than one wired computer in the house? So two desktops...I want to move the wireless router downstairs to my area but my roommate does not have a wireless card in his desktop. Any ideas? P.S. I would prefer to not have to spend much additional money because I already pay for all the utilities ect. Thanks a ton!

Re: Comcast Internet Installation Help
You can split the line coming down with a $10-15 Ethernet switch and have multiple wired connections to the router.
