Confused I get no IP address from my WGR614

I've got a Netgear WGR614 v5 wireless Router.
MY HP Pavilion with Windows XP and wireless card WIRELESS pci 802.11b/g can see the router, gets an IP from it and works perfectly.

Now I want to connect also my Dell D630 with windows xp and wireless card "Dell Wireless 1395 wlan", but I don't get it to work. The computer can find the router but it can't get an IP adress from it.

Would be most grateful for help and ideas.

Regards
Per-Ola

Re: I get no IP address from my WGR614

Sounds like an encryption key mismatch or MAC filtering.

Disable ALL encryption and MAC filtering on the router and see if you can connect.

Re: I get no IP address from my WGR614

Hi,

I disabled the encryption (the mac filtering was never activated) but I still couldn't connect. So I enabled it again and changed the password but the problem persists. My Dell doesn't receive an IP from the router. I'm really out of ideas.

Does this machine connect to any wireless networks?

To be honest I don't know. I've only one at home. Will bring the laptop with me and try somewhere else.
