Hello Everyone,
I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 that has just stumped me. The network card seems to be installed, however when i hardwire my laptop to my network, i get that annoying "limited or no connectivity" pop up. I've tried updating the driver, and reinstalling it. Nothing seems to work. This is weird because I imaged about 10 laptops and none of them gave me this problem when i added them to the network. I personally think that the card is just bad, but I would like to know some opinions or solutions I could try before calling dell. Thanks Much! |

Re: NIC Malfunction?
Well, if you're using a known good cable and switch/router port, and the others work on it, it's certainly the machine. Did you just image this one as well? What version of Windows does it run?

Re: NIC Malfunction?
It's running Windows XP Pro SP3. I've checked the switch and cables and they are surely working because I've tested other machines with this connection. And yes this one is also an image of the original.

Re: NIC Malfunction?
Sounds like the NIC to me, you've done a pretty good job of eliminating most of the other options.
