EEK! Belkin Network Adapter[MOVED FROM WINDOWS]

I have a Dell Latitude C family laptop and I've put Win98 SE on it. I can't get it to recognize the Belkin Network Adapter. First it wouldn't recognize the usb port, but I finally got that to work. I've read tons of stuff on the internet, but nothing has helped. Please help me!

Re: Belkin Network Adapter

Hi Angie,

Windoze 98SE doesn't have lots of drivers. Go to Belkin's Web Site and see if you can download a driver for it. If you are real handy you can remove the card, get the chip maker's name and number off the big chip and go to them for the driver. Failing that you could pick up another card, but make sure you can get the 98 driver for it. If still no help try driversguide.com. Free signup. They may have the driver you need or you can request it.

Good Luck, Jim

Re: Belkin Network Adapter[MOVED FROM WINDOWS]

If Belkin doesn't have W98SE drivers for that NIC, you may be out of luck, it's not supported by a lot of the newer hardware.
