i recently re-installed windows 2000 on my home computer
wrote zeros to the drive formatted the works installation was fine it works, I then decided to opt for a usb wireless network device this is the only new thing on the computer. downloaded the driver from 2wire installed it and at the end of the installation i get a code 10 error the device cannot start (this is at the last page and i still have the option to hit finish) i hit finish anyways and i get the red x of death lol and network cable cable disconnected in the lower left if i go to device manager it shows the device is working properly and the driver is there HERES THE WEIRD THING it shows it as a regular network card (one that would need a ethernet cable) im guessing that is what the problem is ive downloaded other drivers the ones for xp in an attempt to fix this and installed the wireless manager from 2wire which says no network devices are installed on my pc all other network card are now out of my pc and the one built into my motherboard is disabled (even though i dont see how that would affect it ) please help |

Re: 2wire crazyness
i have gone into safe mode uninstalled the hardware which is in the network adapters i also uninstalled the usb controllers aswell as all usb items lol
restarted as normal tryed to reinstall the computer automatically recognizes the device?? go through the installation of the driver again and get the code 10(device cannot start) error i did try it on another computer running xp and it works fine so i know its not the device (not a good thing that would be alot easier) |

Re: 2wire crazyness
Sounds like the drivers don't like 2K.
