Did Mac Kill My Xp Machine?
One of my coworkers has an XP laptop ... we were having some drop-out issues with the XP connecting to a wireless network via a Mac airport extreme router ... I think because of WPA/WPA2 compatibility issues ...
THE REAL PROBLEM - Later that night, my coworker got home and discovered that his XP lap top suddenly couldn't connect to his normal wireless network in his apartment building. He could see the network and even connect to it, but the internet wouldn't work. Any thoughts ... I don't remember changing anything on his lap top while we were connecting it to the airport extreme earlier in the day. |

Re: Did Mac Kill My Xp Machine?
Well, I doubt the Airport killed the networking, more likely you have a configuration issue.
![]() Try removing all the stored wireless network profiles and searching for a new network. You will have to reenter your encryption key and all should be well.
