zonet wireless pci (not working)on asus P5N-E SLI MB

Yesterday I started up my computer and wireless card was not working, I have no hardline to connect to, so no internet for now. Checked hardware manager, it said that the card is installed, driver is installed but says "card not able to start", tried 2cd pci slot, same thing. I figured probably the card, so I went to tigerdirect, picked up same card, I installed it but same thing. tried both slots again to no avail. Thought it might be the motherboard but it recognizes that the card is installed and and recognizes manufacturer and installs drivers. ????????? Please help.

I just finished a build and have read somewhere that there might be a problem with systems that have more that 2 gigs of ram installed, i will go home and try this, any extra advice will be appreciated.

Why did you get the same card? If there is a compatibility issue, I'd have gotten a different make/model. Try one of the major manufacturers, Linksys, D-Link, etc.

maybe what's what i'll do, i realized if i take out one of my ram sticks it actually works, so this card it not compatible with a comp that has more than 2 gig of ram installed. ???

Check your automatic update history in the control panel. I think you'll find a Windows update was installed on the day your wireless card stopped working.

My son's Compaq/Vista PC has the same card, and I found that a particular Vista update knocked it out. I didn't research it further, just uninstalled the particular update that had knocked it out.

Don't or have access to the PC at th moment, otherwise I'd give you the particular update number.
