Laugh USB/ethernet connection

I have a HP Photosmart C4200 series printer and a belkin wireless router, and only a laptop computer with wireless connection. I was hoping to find out if there is any good way to connect my printer, which uses a USB type b port, directly to the router, which only has ethernet ports. I haven't had much luck trying to find a cable that would connect to both.

Is there a place I haven't looked properly, or is this something that wouldn't even work? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: USB/ethernet connection

If your printer has no ethernet port, you will have to plug it into your computer via USB.

Re: USB/ethernet connection

Matt is right. To do what you are asking then you would need a printer with a built in ethernet card to connect it to the router.

If you need to share the printer on the network without relying on 1 pc to be on, then you can purchase a print server. Actually it kinda does what you asking
