[SOLVED] Problem Assembling RJ45 Plug

I 'm having a problem attaching a RJ45 plug to CAT5 cable. I have the RJ45 plugs and a DataShark crimper. I arrange the wire correctly and then crimp the connector. I can't good connectivity. I made some measurements and find that the wire with insulation is .035" in dia. and the plug opening is about .350". Eight times .035 is .280", this means that there is going to be about .070" extra space for all the wires. Do I have the wrong CAT cable for what I want to do. I would think I need the wire with insulation to be about .040" in dia. Help!

I went back to the components store and found another bag of plugs but it also had loose parts in it. I then realized that these were guides for the wires. I purchased the bag and assembled the plug using the loading guide. All connections were made. I then looked at my original bag I purchased and found out it was the same description. The only difference was that all those little parts were in another very small bag that I had not seen. Oh well, I guess that's education. All OK now.
