Network connection issues, is it my modem?
I am have had connection issues for the last couple years.
the internet will go off for up to 5 hours and then randomely come on! I currently have an XPS 410 but i had this problem on my old computer so I don't think it's anything to do with the computer. The modem, however is pretty old, it's a "Cable Modem PCx2200". recently the connection has been going off very frequently, but I can unplug the power and cable cords to the modem and it will go on for a bit. Can anyone determine what the problem is? Thanks! |

Re: Network connection issues, is it my modem?
I have deleted the duplicate thread. No worries.
![]() First thing you may wish to do is contact your Internet Service Provider and have them run a few tests on their end. They can test the line and such and see how communications between them and your modem are handling. |
