cannot get my wireless configured

Hi,

I installed a wireless Verizon cardin my Dell laptop . I get connected easily, which I can verify in the Connectivity Box as well as by clicking on the bottom icon of the right base of my screen.

I have been using the AOL dial-up,filally switched to wireless. However, I think everything is still set up the dial-up way to my AOL . When I click on the AOL start box, I keeps trying to dial.

What do I have to do ,so that when I get connected and see on my screen a functioning internet(and not just empty screen). I don't mind stayng with the AOL. I have to admit I am not very familiar with the Internet connectivity .

Could you please advice?

Thank you

Johan

Why do you want to stay with AOL? You're paying for something that is wasted now, you don't need it!

Try starting up Internet Explorer directly, you'll be on the Internet.

Yes, I am willing to switch. But what do I have to do?

Thanks

Re: cannot get my wireless configured

With the Verizon card, you just fire up Internet Explorer, just don't run AOL at all.

Re: cannot get my wireless configured

Back again,

Yeah, I actually have on my laptop the Explorer( really never used it).
Could you advice how to configure it, so it pops up when I get connected?

Thank you
J.

Re: cannot get my wireless configured

You can put it in the STARTUP folder and it'll start automatically when Windows boots.
