Which slot for Intel pro/1000T server NIC?

I have an Intel Pro/1000 T server adapter (NIC) and the specs say it goes in a PCI slot, but this thing has 4 tabs, not two! Here's a pic of the type of connector it has.

Help! Where does this go? Can it even be used in a desktop?

bondfan,

The link to the JPG file you posted says 'forbidden'. I would go to:

http://www.intel.com/support/network...r/1000tserver/

as this will give you detailed mfg support for this NIC.

You may have a 64 bit PCI NIC, but I believe it will plug into a 32 bit PCI slot, the extra connector just hangs over.

Note that it obviously won't run at 64 bit speeds!
