Can't get my laptop to work with my router

Hello people ! This is my first post ever here and I don't know much about computers, so take it easy on me.
I was given this nice Gateway laptop. The only problem with it is that I can't get it to work with my Netgear wireless router. I have another PC and laptop that work fine connecting to the internet, so I know there is nothing wrong with the router. The laptop does have a WiFi card. I have no clue how to troubleshoot this problem, or what steps I need to take to try and connect it correctly to the router. Basically, I don't know if the problem is with the laptop or with something I am doing (or not doing) to make it connect. Many thanks.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
