intermittent problems connecting to internet

im having intermittent problems connecting to the internet we have 12 Windows XP workstations
They are using Ethernet, which runs through wall mounted conduits to a telecommunications closet
The workstations all tie into a Netgear FS-116A switch
The switch ties into a Linksys BEFSR41 router
The router ties into a Motorola SBG900 cable modem

How many computers are having this issue? All of them? Some? One?

It's affecting all the 12 computers

Register at DSLReports and run their Line Quality Tests. It's useful many times to run this test several times, and we'd like to see each of the results. Post the results link from the top of the test display page for each test run here.

Note: You will have to enable PING (ICMP) request response either in your router (if you have one), or in your computer's firewall for direct modem connections. This is very important to get the most important part of the test to run.
