D-Link Internet Connectivity
Ok i have a D-Link router, model DI-524. I'm trying to connect to the internet thru it. I can connect to the router via wired and wireless connection but can't get to the internet. I have another router, a Linkys and i can connect to the internet with the same settings.
I live in the dominican Republic, my ISP name is CODETEL (in case it means anything to you guys). My ISP uses static ip addresses which i have set in both d-link and linksys (works flawlessly in this one). i did some reading in the forum and found in some threads that senior members, in order to help, asked people to do some tests in their computers so i did and these are my results. C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator>ping 216.109.112.135 Pinging 216.109.112.135 with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Ping statistics for 216.109.112.135: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss), C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator>ping yahoo.com Ping request could not find host yahoo.com. Please check the name and try again. Re: D-Link Internet Connectivity
Can you post a screen shot of the WAN configuration page, and also the status page of the router?
To post a screen shot of the active window, hold the Alt key and press the PrtScn key. Open the Windows PAINT application and Paste the screen shot. You can then use PAINT to trim to suit, and save it as a JPG format file. To upload it to TSG, open the full reply window and use the Manage Attachments button to upload it here.
