Computer randomly stopped detecting wireless card
My Dynex wireless card has worked for over a year. This past week my laptop (Dell XP) stopped detecting it and the software.
I started noticing problems like when I would let it hibernate/standby I would have to reboot it to get the wireless card to start working and now it just stopped. I am wondering if the auto-hibernate messed things up. I am pretty sure its not the card bc the power light is on. Its the signal that is not working and the software screen won't pull up anymore. Should I reinstall the driver? Last edited by utamb; 04-08-2008 at 09:17 PM. Reason: DELETE----NEVERMIND |

Re: Computer randomly stopped detecting wireless card
I can't imagine hibernate doing this. I'd turn off all the power saving options and hibernate, then reinstall the driver. See if that makes a difference. Does it still connect properly using a wired connection?
