Marvell Yukon Card Keeps Losing Connection
I have been having a problem for the last year or so where everytime I do anything bandwidth intensive on my computer, I lose my internet connection. So downloading or streaming content generally causes me to have to disable and then enable my network connection to get the internet working again. I always assumed this was a problem with my ISP but I recently switched and have been having the same problem.
I have a Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet Adapter integrated in my ASUS motherboard. A friend suggested I just get a new Network Card which I don't have a problem doing but I'm not 100% sure that that is the problem here. So I thought I'd run it by you guys first. Any thoughts? |

Re: Marvell Yukon Card Keeps Losing Connection
Try downloading and installing the latest MB NIC driver first, see if that has an effect. Are you SURE you don't have a cable or router port problem? Try a new cable and a new port on the router also.

Re: Marvell Yukon Card Keeps Losing Connection
I am sure it is not a cable or router problem. This has happened with a variety of different cables/routers.
I have the current driver already. Last edited by bdm56; 04-09-2008 at 08:54 AM. |
