Can't connect to the internet

I have a Acer Aspire 4720Z with Vista for a OS. I have a linksys wireless router. I had no problem connecting to the internet for about 2 weeks. Now all of a sudden it wont connect. I’m told it’s not connected to the internet when I try to log on with AOL 9.0vr or Internet Explorer. I have spent hours on the phone with AOL and my IP but haven’t been able to connect. My wife tells me it will connect when it’s at Circuit City but when it gets back home it wont connect. I have 2 other computers with XP for OS that work fineon this router. I’m a new comer with this stuff so please keep it simple.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Re: Can't connect to the internet

Did you try a wired connection with that machine? That's the first thing I'd try.

Re: Can't connect to the internet

John,
Thanks for getting back to me so fast. I used a C5 wire directly from the Acer laptop to my IP cable router. It still won’t connect. Here is the message I got:
Windows did not find any problems with this computer’s network.
I than hooked it back up wireless with the Linksys G WRT54G and these are the results I got.
Internet Explorer could not display the webpage
Most likely causes:
• You are not connected to the internet.
• The website is encountering problems.
• There might be a typing error in the address

Re: Can't connect to the internet

With the directly wired connection, let's see this.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
