Wireless-N Nfiniti™ PCI Adapter
I got this card in November of 2007. Works great! However I
just moved and I'm having trouble getting good connections. So I've deceided to by a omni directional antenna w/ 9dbi ($25.00). My problem is that this card has 3 antenna connectors on the back. It came with 3 antennas hooked to one base. Can I use just one of them with this new antenna? I don't want to by three antennas. Thanks. Wireless-N Nfiniti™ PCI Adapter WLI-PCI-G300N |

Re: Wireless-N Nfiniti™ PCI Adapter
You have a problem with the new 802.11n cards, because ideally all of the antennas will receive the same strength signals. I've worked this issue in the past between buildings, and we ended up putting three antennas on the card to get decent performance.

Re: Wireless-N Nfiniti™ PCI Adapter
It should improve the situation, though not like the proper antenna array would.

Is there another setup that you would recommend? Different antennas?
My budget went too $90.00 today...My b-day is Saturday...Gift card. I was really interested in what you may have purchased that worked good. If you have the time, please let me know! Thank you, Robert K. |

Re: Wireless-N Nfiniti™ PCI Adapter
The only thing I can suggest is to drop back to an 802.11g connection with a single antenna, and then use the hi-gain antenna.
