Re: help me to find a right cable
There is no such thing as a VGA to HDMI cable! HDMI is a digital signal and VGA is an analog signal. Converting that analog signal to digital would require a WHOLE LOT MORE than a hunk of wire!
You need a converter from VGA to S-Video. Many laptops come with a simple cable similar to this one: http://www.computercasesandcables.com/ccc/CV-25120.html If your graphic card in that laptop was designed to allow connection of such a cable, that may be the solution. If not, it's a rather expensive active converter.

Re: help me to find a right cable
BTW, the entry level (and all others) of this model appear to support S-Video
The are three models in the Aspire 1500 range at launch. Hitting the £999 (inc. VAT) 'sweet spot' is the 1501LCe, which features the Athlon 64 3000+ with 512MB of DDR333 RAM (upgradeable to 2GB), a 40GB hard drive and a DVD/CD-RW combo drive, plus a 15in. XGA display driven by ATI's 64MB M10 Radeon 9600 graphics accelerator. Wired (gigabit) and wireless (802.11g) networking is provided, along with a floppy drive, dual Type PC Card slots and a 3-in-1 flash memory card reader. You also get a good set of ports: 4 USB 2.0, FireWire, parallel, VGA and S-Video-out.

Re: help me to find a right cable
Does the manual suggest that the VGA port is capable of outputting composite or S-Video with the correct adapter cable? Most never machines without the S-Video port should do that.

Re: help me to find a right cable
you might want to use a vga to hdmi converter/scaler. I think you`ll get the best results this way ( as far as picture quality and such ). I would suggest an Atlona AT-HD500 or AT-HD510VGA
