network adapter which is better
Which one if faster/ barely if not never loses connection. I putting it in/on my pc which is one level above my Linksys WRT54GS speed booster router in my house and like 10-15ft in front of it.

The reliability of wireless connections is HIGHLY dependent on a host of factors, only one being the card being used. The WAP/Router, the environment, etc. all will play a part in reliability. There is no way to predict which one will work best in your situation.
I will say that I don't use USB for network connections if there's any other option, so I'd stick to the PCI cards...

USB wireless dongles are notoriously tempermental (at best). Jigger them in the port just a touch- oh there goes the wireless! And that's only when they are actually working properly. Like Johnwill says, avoid the USB ones like the plague.
If you need one for an older laptop (pretty much every modern laptop comes with built-in wireless), definitely get something more attuned to a PCMCIA card. |
