Re: usb wireless network card and hidden networks?
How about some details about the hidden network? Do you have all the login information to access it?

Re: usb wireless network card and hidden networks?
There is no issue with any wireless card that meets the 802.11b/g standard connecting to a hidden network. The only thing "hidden" is the SSID beacon broadcasts, so you have to know the SSID of the network.

Re: usb wireless network card and hidden networks?
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it should connect. You may have a bad card, or there may be a compatibility issue with whatever WAP they use. In any case, I don't agree with his reasoning, but his conclusions may be valid just the same. Personally, I never pick USB for networking.
