I'm planning on upgrading to Intel's 4965agn...

Hello everyone,

I currently have a 3945abg Wi-Fi card installed in my laptop. It is preinstalled with 2 antennas which I have seen when dismantling my system. I know that I must purchase an extra antenna on my system so...

Does it really matter what type of antenna I get, quality wise? Will it really matter? Because I really want to optimise my system to the max, so if there are any good ones out there, please let me know, so I can get three for the 4965agn.

Also, where would be the best place to have the antenna positioned, common sense would tell me; in between the other two ;-).

Just some minor issues I need cleared up.

Thank you everyone in advance from me :-).

What make/model of laptop do you have? Note that HP/Compaq laptops will ONLY accept cards that they have whitelisted in the BIOS. Other brands of laptop may have a similar restriction.

I'd do some searching around to see if anyone has successfully done this upgrade.
