Help to connect to Netgear wireless network

Hello . I have a laptop with a Netgear Wireless card. I want to connect to the Comcast Broadband Internet connection that I use with my desktop computer, using my Netgear Router. I cannot get it to connect. It asks for a network key, which I do not know (probably in the paperwork that came with the router.....years ago and probably lost? ) What can you suggest? Thanks.

My System

Re: Help to connect to Netgear wireless network

No problem.

There is always a way to reset routers to default (including the password), every router has a different way to do it. For my router, I just hold down a small button on the back of it for 30 seconds.

What you need to do is go to Netgear website, search for your model number, and read the Facts. It's bound to tell you how to reset it.

good luck

Re: Help to connect to Netgear wireless network

The previous procedure will reset most routers, including the Netgear.
