Network Adapter Problems
I recently set up my Actiontec GT701-GW up with a Netgear router as a hub. I curretnly have 2 computers running XP and had it all working. Until one morning I come to turn on my computer, lets call this comp 1 (Dell Dimension 8250), and find that my ethernet card is now trying to reinstall itself? I had the connected to Actiontec through this computer. Comp 2 (custom built), is up and running fine.
I have a few problems that I'm sure will help me fix it. 1. I cannot find what kind of ethernet card I have. I went into BIOS and looked and it said manufacter uknown. 2. If I found a driver on my working computer, whats the easiest way to connect them together for a transfer. |

Re: Network Adapter Problems
I'd just use a USB FLASH drive to transfer the data, quick and painless.
As far as the brand, take the Service Tag # from the Dell machine and you should have direct access to any downloads for the machine.
