Router connected
Vista with NETGEAR wgr614 router- All is hooked up-works for my single laptop (Presario F700). ?? Is it necessary or should the ethernet cable be connected! As I stated it works without!

To do any configuration changes, you should connect the cable, as most configuration changes will interrupt the wireless connection. For normal operation, it's not necessary to have anything connected with a cable.
