Hello peoples,
This has given me so much trouble ![]() If I didn't think it was the drivers I would pull the card out and bash it ![]() I've searched and searched but no one seems to have done this. I recently purchased a computer that was running Windows ME, I did not take into consideration that the drivers might not be compatible with XP pro, and installed it. It worked fine for a few days until the internet provider I’m with had a line go down and I lost connection to the internet, now I can’t even get into my router (My router is a NetGear MR814 v1 btw) Now it says network cable unplugged and I have tried everything I can think of to fix it besides reinstalling windows and updating the drivers. It says it is functioning properly in device manager but I have learned not to trust this. I wish to know if anything else could be wrong besides the drivers ![]() Thank you in advance

Re: Help!! Network cable unplugged!!! >.<
Hi an welcome,
First clarify, is this xp or is it me? It wouldn't be using the drivers from the previous OS. Did you try switching out the network cable?

Go into device manager and see if there are any ? or ! by the card. Right click my computer, choose properties, choose hardware, click device manager, click view, show hidden devices. Look for an area called network adapters.

If you do see one you need to re-install the driver. If you don't, we go from there.
