Network Cable unplugged
Hi all,
English is not my mother tongue so i'm gonna try to be as clear as possible. Here is my problem : I wanna connect a laptop (win xp sp2) with a mac (mac os 9.2) with an Ethernet crossover cable. When I connect the two computers, the laptop indicates : "network cable unplugged" though it is plugged. So I take another laptop (win xp sp2) which I connect to the mac and everything works fine... I also connect the two laptops with the same cable and everything works fine... Do you have an idea why the mac and the first laptop can't communicate with each other ? Thanks for your help. |

It's not uncommon for this to happen, especially with laptops.
I've generally been successful in connecting the two machines using a switch or hub in that case.
