Cat 6 and 5e

Can you use Cat 6 wire with a Cat 5e connector on the end? Were looking to buy 1000ft of Cat 6 wire but the only connectors we can find on tigerdirect is Cat 5e ones.

We have some available here if you like

To answer your question, it will work. However it will be a tight fit, since Cat6 cable is 23AWG and Cat5e is 24AWG so the plugs are made to match. Also you will lose signal strength out of the Cat6 cable.
