Cat 6 and 5e
Can you use Cat 6 wire with a Cat 5e connector on the end? Were looking to buy 1000ft of Cat 6 wire but the only connectors we can find on tigerdirect is Cat 5e ones.

http://www.comtradcables.com/RJ-45-8...P1303C512.aspx To answer your question, it will work. However it will be a tight fit, since Cat6 cable is 23AWG and Cat5e is 24AWG so the plugs are made to match. Also you will lose signal strength out of the Cat6 cable.
