I had comcast for quit some time in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and I never had a problem with it. And I lived in a very populated area. Of course after time warner took over the quality dropped. But while it was comcast it was great.

I had Comcast for years. I usually got the full rated speed, when I switched, it was 6000/384, and it normally hit at least 5000 on speed tests. However, they did have a few outages, and they were very poor about solving even simple issues with the network. I've since moved to Verizon FiOS fiber service, and it's been very solid so far. The speed also runs rings around Comcast.
