I'M USESING eHOME EH103 WIRELESS G USB ADAPTER FOR MY DELL DIMENSION 8250. BUT THE SIGNAL STRANGTH IS VERY POOR. ONLY ONE BAR. WHAT WILL BE THE GOOD WAY TO UPGRADE. WOULD LIKE TO BUY SOME THING 108Mbps 802.11G, SO IT WILL HELP ME TO CONNECT WITH MY DOWNSTAIRS UNCLE'S WIRELESS CABLE ROUTER. Hard to say, it really depends on a lot of factors. What kind of construction the house is, the distance between the units, the other 2.4ghz signals that might be interfering, etc. That thumb adapter certainly won't do as well as something with a real antenna. If you get a PCI adapter, I'd also recommend an external antenna so you can position it for best reception.
