DFI Lanpart NICs quit with SATA
My friend ordered some computer parts for Christmas, I put them together... DFI Lanparty something or the other, forgot actual name. AMD Athlon 64 3800+, and a 512 stick of no-name RAM.
Everything worked great, he threw in an old IDE HDD he had, and used that until he got paid again and bought a SATA drive. After hell to get Windows installed on that, we got it booted up and both the onboard NICs weren't found. I threw in a PCI NIC and nothing there either. I read somewhere that the SATA conflicts with them, but I did everything that said and still no luck. If anybody has any suggestions at all, it would be greatly appreciated... sorry if I was not clear enough, this is confusing me and aggravating me a lot. |

Alright, well, after all night of jacking around with it. Fixed it, disabled ports 3/4, uninstalled the NICs, got the Marvel port's drivers from DFI website, reinstalled drivers, one port works. The other one still doesn't work but one's better than none I suppose.
