Weird cable internet problem...
My internet/TV is on a 2 way splitter and it has worked fine for years that way. All of a sudden I notice my internet going off intermittently and I start troubleshooting. Well, after messing around and a new splitter I've found that if the TV cable is plugged in, I get no internet. As long as the TV cable is unplugged I'm fine. Does anyone know what might cause this?

you should have a 1:2 quality splitter at the service entrance, and a direct run of good quality cable, like RG-6U, directly to the modem. The TV distribution should be on the other leg of the splitter. If you still have issues, it's not a problem you can solve.
