wireless not working well

my wireless internet disconnects like every 10 min then i have to repair the connection idk what could do this so i came here

Hi Try deleting the wireless connection within xp wireless connections, then add it back in

ok, here's what i would like to know.

go to start<accessories<command prompt, and type in, ipconfig.

then, it will spit a short test out at you. take the address in default gateway, (mine is 192.168.254.254) and then using the same command prompt window, type ping 192.168.254.254 -t (yours may be different than mine, use the one your ipconfig test spits out at you.)

the -t will tell it to run forever, you can use control+c to stop it, or just close the windows.

but, run that till you have one of your disconnects, and see what the ping test does.

let us know if the ping even drops off too, or if it has time-out errors.
