Problems with internet connection
I have been trying to hook up my laptop to my grandparents internet connection. They have wireless cable. On the laptop I have a linksys networking adaptor. I set that up on the computer I want to hook up, It recognizes the internet connections possible to hook up to, I pick the network, enter the network key and it sets up the connection. I get a message that says that I am connected and that I have an excellent connection however when I open up IE or Firefox and try to browse the internet I get a message from those programs saying that there is no internet connection. I am not sure what I should do to fix this connection. I also have a wireless networking card for the computer, when I plug that in I get a message that says limited or no connectivity. I cannot figure this thing out, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How about telling us exactly what make/model modem and router they're using. Also, the make/model of your wireless adapter, as well as the version and patch level of the Windows in use.
One obvious question, has encryption been enabled on the router? If so, you need to have the same type of encryption with the identical key enabled on the laptop in question.

The wireless client should tell you that you're connecting to an encrypted link.
