XP Icon Issue

Hello

I have XP Pro and when the PC boots, it comes up to my background, but then goes to a blue screen, and then completes the bootup. But my Icons on my desktop retains the blue background to them?
Any ideas on what could of changed?

Thanks

What kind of blue screen is it ? is it there instead of a wallpaper ? If yes we are probably talking about a desktop hijack, a malware infection. can you get a screenshot and attach it to your next post ? ( how to : hit print screen key - open up a paint document - shift + insert - save. That file will be the screenshot that i would like to see)
:)

Thanks for the quick reply. I attached #1 which is right after it switches over to the blue screen.
#2 is when it switches back over to my background, thus carrying over the blue background behind the Icon's letters.
I also had a malware called Aurora, but I already got that removed.

did you check your device manager? uninstall/reinstall video drivers.
Also pls download and run this utility and see if it helps.
