Hi,
Microsoft thinks it's a driver problem. Here are a couple of articles giving some in-depth debugging discussion which might be of use to you... http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=winxp http://support.microsoft.com/default...winxpMicrosoft thinks it's a driver problem. |

The error you're getting is in the NDIS driver for your Netgear WG111. Unfortunately the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error just means something went wrong with the driver and isn't very helpful. You get that error when just about anything serious goes wrong with the driver. Have you made sure you have the latest drivers for your WG111 as well as for your USB ports (those are in the motherboard chipset drivers)?

Thanks for the posts.
It's a bit of a waiting game really. I've found new USB2.0 drivers for my motherboard which i've installed - hoping this will solve the problem. Unfortunately, according to the Netgear website, there are no driver updates available for my WG111 - this taken from their website: WG111 (aka WG111v1) This version has a serial number starting with: WG16 or WG72 No upgrade to WG111v2 is available. If i see a further BSOD, i'm thinking of upgrading to WinXP SP2 - which may have some later drivers to help the cause??? Will let you know if i see a further failure. Thanks Rob |
