windows won't load ! HELP

IM having a problem and yesterday i was playing a pc game and the computer froze, so i restarted the computer and when it started up again i get a red message saying "you do not have the cable extension connected to your radeon 9700" and I dont even get to see the windows logo or the log in page. IM using windows xp and this has never happened before and i haven't touched any of the cords. Everything has worked fine up to this point. Any help??????

Question.... have you looked in the case to see if the power cable has fallen off of the card?

just like the second post said, i recommend that you open up your case and see if anthing came loose. assuming you open up your case and every cable or device is right up tight, then F8 during bootup and if you can get to this menu, select "last good configurations" and see if that helps.

If the above suggestions fail to resolve the problem, try booting into safe mode (tap f8 from start-up again and select SM) to see if you get a full boot. If you do, then uninstall and re-install the ATI software and drivers.
