Question cant install usb mouse

i just changed my power supply. now my pc cant install either of the 2 usb mouse that im using.

it's a good thing one of them came w/ an installer cd.

i was able to use the other one before i changed power supply, and i just plugged it in and it was ready to use. now my pc just reads it as ?-usb-device. but the lights on this mouse is working when i plug it into my usb port.

i have a windowsxp w/ service pack 2

This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

i tried "Reinstall Driver" but it fails to get a driver for my optical mouse.

Unplug ALL USB devices.
Open Device Manager.
View, Show Hidden Devices.
Uninstall all devices under USB Controllers.
If you have a yellow ? with unknown devices, uninstall all of the entries there as well.

When this is done, reboot TWICE.

Reconnect the USB devices and see if they're recognized properly.
