microsoft essentials will not install

i have cleaned my computer and followed all the steps with no resolve. I am tired of posting logs, i cannot install microsoft essentials, and don't know why. I have taken out everything i can think of with no resolve again. Please help.

i am having problems installing most microsoft updates that become available. am using windows xp home edition!!!
here is the error i recieve when trying to install m.s.s.e

"Can't complete the microsoft security essentials installation wizard.
An error has prevented the microsoft security essentials installation wizard from continuing. Please restart your computer and try again"...and i have

"The microsoft security essentials installation wizard has returned your computer to it's original state."

Error code: Ox80070643
