Application confg error

i'm running xp with sp3.today i installed a game called Igneous but when i run it gives the following error-

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

---------------------------

how do i solve dis?
same error is coming for winamp also

Hi sag.genius, have a look in your Event Log for more details of the error...it may point you in the right direction for what file(s) are missing.

Suggest you check your system against requirements for the game. If you have this game installed you need

my sys matches the requirement
but stiill there is error

I do notice your Video MSI is 8406GS to compare with

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled Igneous. If you do make sure you use Revo Uninstaller instead of Add and Remove utility for a much cleaner uninstall.

how's the computer running otherwise? sometimes when I run into this issue, i like to check the health of the hard drive and memory. if one of those isn't in good shape, issues can crop up during/after installation.
