I have Windows xp sp3 disk, and I installed it on my laptop and it runs really well. Now I installed it on my other two laptops and it also works fine. But using the same CD I installed it on my tower pc and it says "you may be a victim of software counterfeiting". Now I never had this computer hooked up to the internet. So how is this? I tried three different O.S. on this computer and the same, including Vista black v2. It always says "you may be a victim of software counterfeiting" And I need windows activation key. Remember I never hooked this tower to the internet, but still WGA runs on this computer, but not my other three laptops, and my other main P.C. works just fine with the same O.S.

Re: Wga
Considering you are only supposed to have it installed on 1 pc installing on more then 1 would be Pirating the software, buy a licensed copy for the PC and it will be fine.

Try runnin g killdsk on the computer-after you have downloaded the prog burn it to a cd aboot from this - chose the erase option.
