transferring a program from one xp system to another

This isn't a "XP" issue or problem I guess but I really didn't know where else to post it. I'm going to need to copy a very expensive CAD program from my existing computer (old and getting a new one to replace it with before it actually crashes) to a new computer I'm getting and was wondering (A: if this was possible, and (B: if so, how do I go about doing this? The CD was stolen from me a while back from a former employee so I need to do this by copying files/registry/whatever to the new computer. I would rather stay away from cloning the drive and putting the existing hard drive in the new computer isn't a good option either because that defeats the purpose of getting a new one to prevent the old one crashing. So is it possible to copy a program in this manner? Didn't know if this was the forum to post this in, if not can someone lead me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance for any help.

If you still have the license info, just contact the manufacturer and see about replacement media. Manually transferring an application from on machine to another is probably not going to work.
