Hi. Im not really good with computers to start off with, just so you know. I tried erasing a bunch of files that my spyware program said were malicious recently. Then I added another spyware program to catch what the first was missing. I did all of this because I could not get my computer back into standby. It just stopped working out of the blue and I read on some tech forum that it could be from a virus. Finally I read a thread telling me to go into the power options, then click on a different option such as hibernate, or do nothing, then click apply, and save. After doing this it said go back into power options and reselect standby-apply-save and it should work. Well it did... For a few days. Now it has gone back to not going into standby and I have to shut the tower off every time I leave the house. I dont know what could have caused it this time, if it was from before still, or if my husband did something he shouldnt have or what. I tried to to the steps above that helped the first time but it isnt helping on bit this time. Im trying so hard to keep this computer working well as Im not so great with computers and we cant afford someone to fix it. I could really use the help. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them. If you could dumb it down to the most basic step by step process I would be so very grateful!!!! Thanks!
