Re: my laptop keep resetting

By resetting do you mean the the recovery process keeps activating?
Does the F10 key seem ok or is it stuck in a depressed state.
Spybot will remove most spyware but does not remove viruses.
Try scanning with avira free edition.
Check that your dvdrom does not have a disc in it on startup.

Re: my laptop keep resetting

Hi Steve,
Thx 4 ur reply.sorry I mean restart not reset,by the way How can I reset everything to factory reset. The F10 is ok,just cannot go beyond that as it just go to < set up> without pressing F10.
Before this pblem,my laptop was without any icon and was only my desktop wallpaper. Then I scan my laptop with spybot where 157 viruses were detected and 11 were not remove, then I tried again and my laptop goes worst.

Re: my laptop keep resetting

You need to check your manual for this but some computers use a function key to initiate recovery (like f10 being tapped or held down during the boot screen) and some use a recovery disc that is bootable. The fact that safemode wont load and your normal boot keeps failing suggest that recovery is the only option. So if this is acceptable I would do this.
