[SOLVED] windows xp media center edition 2005 installation problem ??
I am trying to install windows media center edition 2005 in my fresh installed hard disk. I have 2 installation discs for windows media center 2005. So I started with my first disk, everything went well and it asked me for my 2nd disc. It went well too but problem started when all of a sudden it asked me for windows professional with SP2. so after few seconds of running with windows professional SP2 disc, it says its not copying wmlaunch files and asking me , if I know the location. So I checked every single folder by browsing the disc when it asked for this file. But I could’t find it anywhere. I tried with another pair of windows media center edition 2005 discs and with another win pro sp2 disc but still same problem exists.
Please suggest me something what I can do in this situation. |

Re: windows xp media center edition 2005 installation problem ??
I m marking this thread as solved .. so that other people can get some benefits from my bitter experience.. so i tried my windows media center edition disc 1 then it asked for disc 2. i inserted disc 2. After running for a while it asked me for windows proff with sp2 disc .. i inserted disc 1 again ( as i researched from internet on yahoo answers). It worked and i was able to install windows media center edition on my machine.
Thanks for viewing though ... |
