Desktop picture
Hi,
On my desktop a picture from a bike website I was checking somehow has got 'stuck' on the desktop. Left or right clicking on it doesn't have any effect. I am using Internet Explorer. Can't find it in My pictures to clear it. Have tried rebooting but it's still there. Would appreciate any assistance, Thanks |

Re: Desktop picture
Click Start, Run, type regedit and press enter.
Navigate to HKCU, Control panel, click on the + sign, and click on Desktop. In the right hand column under Wallpaper is the path to the image file. Make a note of that. If you scroll upward to Original Wallpaper, right click on that, click on modify, then put your cursor over that line (it's in blue) and right click and click copy, you can then scroll down to Wallpaper, right click on it, click modify, put your cursor over that line (blue) and click paste. Now click on the X to leave regedit. Reboot and see if you got it gone. If so, then delete that image file.

Re: Desktop picture
If you are an experience computer user, then go ahead and edit the registry with caution.
If not, you can just go to Start/Settings/Control Panel, double click Display then click on the "Desktop" tab and choose the background you want then click "OK".
