RUNDLL Messages!

A few viruses and other junk lately on my Dimension 3000 (2005), when the Comp starts up and hard drive is done booting a RUNDLL message pops up,

"error loading C:/WINDOWS/system32/jeruvote-blah, blah, blah"
"the specific module could not be found" Also have another , same type of message that occasionally comes up!!

What does this mean?? I've run my program "Registry cleaner" It seems to keep my programs running clean.

Also have webroot program that scans all the time. Thanku

Typically, when there's an error with a .dll file in System 32 this can cause the OS system not to function correctly. This could probably be a virus that have been messing around with your dll files. My recommendation would be to save all data on an Ext. Hard Drive or other another device and re-install Windows XP.

Whoa Athen! there are a few more steps the OP can take. First make sure your virus is gone. Download malwarebytes and run full scan. Then go to Start/Run and type SFC scannow. the Windows File Protection window pops up. You may need your XP CD for this. It will replace any missing system files from the disc now.

Agreed, But I've experienced and encountered 2007-2009 Viruses and trust me, they will kill OS.
