hellllllllllllppppppppppp
I really need some help.
I deleted google desktop and since I have, I cannot get any of my desktop icons, start bar or anything but the wallpaper. I cannot right click on the desktop to check anything. I press control/alt/delete and only get the CPU usage box - I cant even get the taskmanager. I have a dell computer and I have tried to do the repair from the CD rom boot it seemed to be working, but once it finished I was in the exact same position as I started. Please help, because my puter is like my right hand I am totally lost without it, I am using my hubbys puter to do this post |

Re: hellllllllllllppppppppppp
Boot into Safe Mode as Administrator, not your account. do you have full functionality in the Admin Account? go to Control Panel/Users and make sure your account is an Administrator account. If not make it so Try doing a System
Restore to a previous time before this happened. All else fails, as Administrator create a new user account with Administrative rights, log in as the new user and copy your files from your old user account to the new (My Documents, Favorites, Desktop and the .pst file if you use Outlook as your Email account. )

Re: hellllllllllllppppppppppp
When you say you only get the CPU usage box, do you mean it looks like this?
If so, double-click anywhere on it. Then go to the processes tab and kill any process named explorer.exe. Then click file, new task, and type explorer. |

Re: hellllllllllllppppppppppp
Hi
You mean to say, computer boots up normally and you get only the wallpaper. have you tried it in safe mode?? else try hitting(tapping) F8 key while the computer boots up. There you can see many options where you can try Last known good configuration, if it doesn't work try safe mode. check and let me know this works!! Regards L8ians |

Re: hellllllllllllppppppppppp
Thanks for all your suggestions. I had already tried everything that has been suggested. In the end I just reformatted my whole hard drive. I am now up and running perfectly.
Thanks again for the help |
