lost in XP
Here goes....I got the blue screen then I tried a few things like defrag from disk,tried the repair from cd then tried the install from cd nothing,,,,it will Not let me install because when I get to the step "press F8" it does nothing...wierd part I got it running because I am using it now...but my main menu page has nothing on it and if I go to my computer call up c drive I see everything but nothing works...I tried to download but it won't let you...The is something really wrong here the info is there but I can't use it,,,call up a program and it won't start...please help

If you are using a USB keyboard, try a PS2 keyboard. Many USB keyboards don't work in the Windows setup so you can't hit F8 to agree.

I tried to format the c drive and it will not let me saying the volume is in use and then it just re boots...I will try the different key board when I get home is there anything else I can do???? The data is all there but it just doesn't come up on the xp page....and restore will not restore the system i have tried different dates too...thanks for the help...
